St. Agnes Special school conducted the summer camp for 10 days for the children with special needs. They were around 30 children of mild, moderate and severe children. The staff members took turns to keep the children busy with activities such as sports, games, craft/drawing, singing/dance, and general activities. The children took part happily and gained a lot from the camp. On the last day some of the children shared thier camp experiences and appriciated and thanked the teachers. They were given prizes for the best performance and participation under each activies.
The stated philosophy of the special school is that , every child has a right to learn and develop at his own pace regardless of race, creed and culture. This school provides a learning environment , where the activities of life revolve round the individual person allowing him or her, to reach out for the highest potential in an acceptable setting.
